The workshop “Sustainability as a principle and framework for action”, which was organized by the Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences, focused on the integration of the concept of sustainability as a central principle and practicable framework for action in entrepreneurial processes. The workshop focused on the challenges and potential of resource use, specific measures to reduce CO₂ emissions and the many links between sustainability and diversity. In addition, innovative approaches were presented that enable a balanced implementation of sustainability principles in ecological, economic and social dimensions. Particular attention was paid to the historical development of the concept of sustainability and the outstanding role of society's level of knowledge in shaping a sustainable future.
PD Dr. Guido Wolf enriched the workshop with a practice-oriented presentation in which he outlined detailed strategies for the effective integration of sustainability concepts into operational processes. Interactive elements such as question-and-answer sessions and visual presentations helped to give participants a well-founded perspective on sustainability - not as a risk factor, but as a strategic opportunity with long-term added value. The event was characterized by an interdisciplinary approach and a strong practical orientation, providing valuable impetus for academic and professional engagement with the topic of sustainability.
