Mission and Vision
Mission:
The Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences promotes Turkish–German academic and cultural cooperation based on internationalization and intercultural communication. In education, Turkish and German educational traditions are taken into consideration, and alongside internationally recognized knowledge and skills in the fields of cultural and social sciences, intercultural communication competencies are encouraged. Furthermore, scientific research is conducted in the fields of language, culture, communication, psychology, and sociology within an intercultural framework, and cultural as well as intercultural awareness is fostered. Through the education provided, the faculty aims to educate graduates who are knowledgeable about their country and the world and who are experts in their respective fields.
Vision:
The Faculty of Cultural and Social Sciences aims to provide education and conduct research at international standards through scientific studies in the fields of language, culture, communication, psychology, and sociology from cultural and intercultural perspectives. It also seeks to enhance scientific and societal cooperation between Turkey and Germany and to educate graduates who are knowledgeable about their country and the world, possess national and international perspectives, and are experts in their fields.
