During the relevant session of the colloquium, Dr. Ayça Yılmaz, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, delivered a presentation on her BAP project titled “Subjektivitätssuche von hochqualifizierter Mütter in der Türkei,” which focuses on motherhood experiences. In the presentation, she shared the scope and findings of the research, particularly addressing the experiences of highly educated women who became mothers after 2007. Following the presentation, participants asked various questions and offered their evaluations. Discussions were held on the scope of the research, the structure of the sample, and the social, economic, and cultural dimensions of motherhood experiences.

The meeting also included information sharing regarding research projects planned within the faculty and international academic collaborations. The Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, emphasized the importance of developing research conducted within the faculty through an interdisciplinary approach. In this context, the faculty’s research perspective and the planning of scientific events were discussed. Possible academic events that could be organized within the framework of support provided through DAAD collaboration were addressed, and information was provided about the Scientific Events Guide. The meeting concluded with the opinions and evaluations of the academic staff.
