Academic General Assembly Meeting Held at Our Faculty on 17 June 2026 with the Participation of Our Rector and General Coordinator

The Academic General Assembly Meeting for the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year was held with the participation of our Rector, Cemal YILDIZ, our General Coordinator, Ferit KÜÇÜKAY, our Dean, Aysel UZUNTAŞ, and the academic staff of our Faculty.
At the opening of the meeting, our Vice Rector and Dean, Prof. Dr. Aysel UZUNTAŞ, welcomed all academic staff. She expressed her pleasure at the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal YILDIZ and General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit KÜÇÜKAY in the Academic General Assembly Meeting and announced that the opening address would be delivered by the Rector.
In his opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal YILDIZ emphasized the importance of academic assemblies and shared recent developments regarding the institutional and program accreditation processes of our University. In this context, he provided information on the FEDEK accreditation process of the Department of Culture and Communication Sciences, internationalization efforts, dual degree programs, and activities related to student mobility.
The meeting also included evaluations of the collaborations conducted with University of Passau at the undergraduate level and Technische Universität Ilmenau at the graduate level, as well as discussions on the Intercultural Management Program and the existing master's and doctoral programs. Academic promotion processes and efforts to establish new departments were also among the topics discussed. In addition, newly appointed academic staff members and faculty members who had recently received academic promotions were congratulated.
Subsequently, General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit KÜÇÜKAY took the floor and shared his evaluations regarding the academic development of our University, international collaborations, and future goals.
The assembly continued with a speech by Dean Prof. Dr. Aysel UZUNTAŞ, who provided information on newly planned departments, consultations with partner universities, departmental promotion activities, the graduation ceremony, student recruitment and promotion days, and the opening program for the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
The meeting concluded following the sharing of opinions and evaluations by the participants.
